Voluntary Workers: Product Launch

Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) is pleased to announce that its refreshed Voluntary Worker Insurance product is now available via CoverHub, Arch’s online quote and bind platform.

Voluntary Worker Insurance enables organisations to cover their volunteers against loss of income and capital benefits as the result of bodily injury sustained in the course of their voluntary work.

The Voluntary Worker Insurance policy has been developed and modified over several years to ensure it is sufficiently broad to cover most bodily injury claims. The updated version is available for the first time through Arch’s CoverHub, a broker-friendly platform with quick-quote and instant-bind functionality, as well as LiveChat access to underwriters.

Volunteers injured while working for an Arch Voluntary Workers Insurance policyholder will receive weekly benefit payments to compensate for resulting temporary loss of employment income. The policy also covers non-Medicare medical bills for treatments including physiotherapy.

Commenting on the news, Jarrod O’Connor, Underwriting Manager — Accident & Health, Arch Insurance Australia, said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of the community who play an increasingly important role in these challenging times. Brokers can now more quickly and efficiently access Voluntary Worker Insurance tailored to the specific needs of their clients through Arch’s CoverHub portal to protect volunteers from financial loss resulting from injury.”
