Dublin, 1 September 2026 – Arch Insurance EU (Arch) today announced the appointment of Giacomo Mariani as Italy Branch Manager, subject to regulatory approval.
In this new role, Mariani is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, business development and broker engagement for the Italian branch to support Arch’s overall growth plans. He is based in the company’s Milan office.
A highly respected figure, Mariani brings over 14 years of experience in the Italian insurance market. He joins Arch from Everest where he was Head of Italy, having previously held team leadership roles at Aon and Zurich.
This appointment follows Arch’s recent opening of its Milan office, writing accident & health, cargo & logistics, fine art & specie, general liability and property. This forms part of the company’s strategy to deepen local market engagement through establishing dedicated regional platforms and expanding its underwriting capabilities across key lines of business.
