UK Charities and Communities

Arch is proud to have forged meaningful long-term partnerships with a number of exceptional charities through financial contributions and staff engagement in volunteering and fundraising initiatives.

Our Charity Partnerships

Insurance United Against Dementia is an Alzheimer’s Society movement created and championed by leaders from across the insurance sector. It campaigns for funds to provide research and resources for affected individuals, and ultimately a cure for dementia whilst providing support for those living with condition. They aim for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Breakfast Bookstars is a unique and innovative partnership between Arch Insurance International, National Literacy Trust and Magic Breakfast. This initiative forms part of the National Literacy Trust’s Libraries for Primaries campaign and Magic Breakfast’s fuel-for-learning initiative. It also addresses educational inequality by tackling both hunger and literacy challenges facing children in the UK’s most financially disadvantaged areas. Each year, the programme supports over 7,000 young children by providing free nutritious breakfasts and funding well-equipped libraries in their primary schools.

ShelterBox is a global disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter, essential supplies and tools to people who have lost their homes due to crisis, enabling them to rebuild their lives. When people cannot access traditional insurance, the impact of disaster is even more devastating. ShelterBox helps bridge this gap by extending support to those who need it most, when the worst happens.

Supporting Our Communities

Arch is dedicated to making a positive impact within the communities where we live and work. Emphasising our corporate Value of striving to make a difference, we foster a culture of community engagement by encouraging our employees to volunteer both their time and skills.

All employees receive an annual allowance of two days paid volunteering time off to help create lasting and meaningful change. Additionally, we empower employees to champion causes close to their hearts through multiple structured initiatives:

  • Charity of the Year Programme: Providing funding, based on staff nominations and votes, for charities that have actively supported staff members and their families over the last 12 months.
  • Community Support Fund: Providing financial assistance for community initiatives in which employees are actively involved.
  • Donation Matching: Amplifying the personal charitable contributions of employees.
  • Fundraising Sponsorships: Financially supporting employees in their fundraising endeavours.
