Arch Insurance Australia Announces Key Underwriting Promotions

Arch Insurance Australia has announced the promotion of Chris Wild to Northern Region Underwriting Manager, Property and Carmen Tung to Southern Region Underwriting Manager, Casualty, with immediate effect.  

Wild and Tung are each responsible for building broker relationships and driving further growth across their respective regions of Australia. Based in Brisbanexx, Wild reports to Brendon Terry, Underwriting Manager, Property, and based in Melbourne, Tung reports to Michelle Armstrong, Underwriting Manager, Casualty.   

Wild is an accomplished underwriter with over 9 years’ experience working in the property sector. He joined Arch in 2015 as Underwriter for Property, having previously worked at Chubb, PSC Insurance Group and Barbuss. 

Tung has over 20 years of insurance market experience. She joined Arch in 2016 as a Senior Underwriter, starting the Casualty Line of Business for Arch in Australia. Prior to joining Arch, she was a Underwriter at AIG, and Lumley General Insurance.  

Commenting on Wild’s promotion, Terry said “Chris is a highly respected member of the team who has been central to the expansion of our Property business. His promotion is thoroughly deserved, and he will play a leading role in further supporting our growth ambitions.” 

Armstrong added: “Carmen has a deserved reputation for building lasting and responsive relationships and delivering informed solutions that respond to the needs of brokers. She will excel in her new role and play a major part in the further expansion of our casualty portfolio.”
