Arch opens new larger office in Onyx Building to boost broker access to underwriters
London, 20 2024 — Arch Insurance UK Regional Division (Arch) today announced it has opened a new office in Glasgow as part of its growth strategy for the region.
Located in the Onyx Building at the heart of Glasgow’s business community, the regional hub provides local brokers greater access to Arch’s expanding underwriting division. The team features expertise across a wide range of business lines, as well as complex risk specialists and risk control experts.
Since launching the UK Regional Division in 2019, Arch has increased the size of its underwriting team in Glasgow by 30%. Secured on a seven-year lease, the move demonstrates Arch’s long-term commitment to building its presence in Scotland and features ample capacity for continued expansion.
Commenting on the new location, Russell Caie, Branch Manager, Glasgow for Arch Insurance UK Regional Division, said: “The rationale for moving to larger premises was two-fold. Firstly, we needed to accommodate our growing team in the region, and secondly, we wanted to offer our brokers more opportunities to meet with our underwriters face-to-face. Given its central location and the contemporary space it offers, we believe it offers an environment that is conducive to trading.”
Neil Peters, National Director, Branch Network for Arch Insurance UK Regional Division, added: “Arch has long demonstrated its commitment to establishing a comprehensive network of regional offices. Our Glasgow team represents expertise across the full scope of our product range, with empowered underwriters eager to trade face-to-face with brokers. We believe that that regular, direct contact is core to how we continue to strengthen our broking partnerships across the UK.”
