Arch Insurance Names Eric Boquist EVP, Retail Energy

JERSEY CITY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Arch Insurance North America (“Arch”) today announced that Eric Boquist
has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Retail Energy, based
in Houston, Texas.

leadership, we will continue to enhance our customer and producer value
proposition in the energy market by leveraging Arch’s broad suite of
specialty line capabilities to expand our product.”

In this role, Mr. Boquist will lead a newly created business unit
focused on providing comprehensive admitted middle market insurance
solutions to energy companies in North America. The team will also bring
together additional Arch specialty products to seamlessly meet the needs
of energy clients and brokers. This unit will complement Arch’s current
energy offerings underwritten in the U.S., Bermuda and London and
demonstrates the company’s commitment to the energy sector. Mr. Boquist
will report to Rich Stock, Chief Underwriting Officer of Large Account
Casualty and Surety.

Mr. Boquist joins Arch from Travelers, where he most recently served as
President of Travelers’ Oil & Gas unit in Houston. Prior to his time at
Travelers, he held a number of senior insurance roles focused on the
energy sector in the U.S. and European markets. He holds a bachelor’s
degree in economics from the University of Texas.
