Arch Insurance International Appoints UK Chief Operating Officer

Ketan Motwani brings substantial experience in insurance operations and transformation leadership

London, 04 June 2024 – Arch Insurance International has today announced the appointment of Ketan Motwani as UK Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. The role is subject to regulatory approval.

As UK COO, Motwani will be responsible for overseeing key UK functions, including underwriting operations, process and operational excellence, and strategic portfolio management, working closely with the wider senior leadership team at Arch to support the company’s overall growth strategy.

Based in London, he will report to Hugh Sturgess, Chief Executive Officer for Arch Insurance International.

Motwani brings over 20 years of experience in insurance operations and transformation leadership to the role. He joins Arch from Aon UK where he was most recently Chief Operating Officer- Commercial Risk (Global, Wholesale & Specialty Broking) with responsibilities spanning transformation, service delivery, operations, and digital platforms. Prior to joining Aon, he held senior roles at Deloitte focused on insurance strategy, operations, and technology.
