Relanda Taing joins as Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter for the Northern Region
Sydney, 1 May 2025 – Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) today announced the appointment of Relanda Taing as Senior Underwriter, Professional Indemnity, for the Northern Region, effective immediately.
In this role, Taing is responsible for supporting the growth of the professional indemnity portfolio, providing coverage across a range of key sectors including construction, engineering and the legal profession. Based in Sydney, she reports to Chris Carreno, Northern Region Underwriting Manager, Professional Indemnity.
Taing is a highly respected underwriter in the sector with over 15 years of financial lines insurance experience. She joins Arch from Sura Underwriting, where she was most recently a Senior Underwriter, and she has previously held underwriting roles at Berkley Insurance Australia and QBE Insurance.
The announcement follows the recent appointment of Carey Sturgiss as Senior Underwriter, Professional Indemnity, for the Southern Region.
Commenting on the appointment, Carreno said: “I’m delighted to welcome Relanda to the Arch Northern Region team. Her extensive PI experience, knowledge of the market and depth of broker relationships will help to further strengthen our capabilities as we continue to grow our presence and collaborate with our brokers to deliver bespoke solutions for their clients.”
