Arch Insurance Australia Announces Senior Executive Assurance Appointment

Katrina Palmer joins as Senior Underwriter focusing on Southern Region.


Sydney, 27 June 2023 — Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) has announced the appointment of Katrina Palmer as Senior Underwriter, Executive Assurance, with immediate effect.

In this role, Palmer supports the growth of the directors’ and officers’ (D&O) and management liability portfolios for the Southern Region, including Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. Based in Melbourne, she reports to Steven Gaitanis, Southern Region Underwriting Manager, Executive Assurance.

Palmer brings a wealth of insurance market experience to the role with extensive financial lines expertise. Most recently she was a Senior Underwriter at Dual, and before that was a Senior Underwriter at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. During her career, Palmer has also worked at Aon Risk Solutions and Marsh.

Commenting on the announcement, Gaitanis, said: “Katrina is a fantastic addition to our Executive Assurance team. Her considerable experience, deep market knowledge and extensive industry networks will be instrumental to the Southern Region, as we continue to strengthen our service proposition and enhance our relevance to our brokers.”
