Arch Insurance Australia Appoints New Senior PI Underwriter

Arion Reuter will support the growth of the Southern Region professional indemnity portfolio.

Sydney, 2 June 2026 – Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) today announced the appointment of Arion Reuter to Senior Professional Indemnity (PI) Underwriter, effective immediately.

In this role, Reuter is responsible for supporting the growth of the PI portfolio across the Southern Region, spanning Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Based in Melbourne, he reports to Carey Sturgiss, PI Southern Region Underwriting Manager.

The Southern Region PI team provides coverage to a broad range of professions including accountants, consultants, design and construction professionals, engineers, environmental professionals and lawyers. 

Reuter joins Arch from Newline Group, where he was most recently a PI underwriter. Prior to this, he was a Financial Lines Underwriter at Chubb having previously worked in the broking sector at IBG Insurance Brokers.

Commenting on the announcement, Sturgiss said: “We’re delighted to welcome Arion to our PI team. His extensive market knowledge and well-established network of regional broker relationships make him ideally positioned to support the continued growth of our relevance and development of Arch’s Southern Region PI portfolio.”
