Andrew Whitlock joins with focus on New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Queensland
Sydney, 15 January 2026 – Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) today announced the appointment of Andrew Whitlock as Northern Region Casualty Underwriting Manager, effective immediately.
In this role, Whitlock is responsible for overseeing the underwriting activities and broker relationships to drive growth across the northern region Casualty portfolio, spanning New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. Based in Sydney, he reports to Michelle Armstrong, Casualty Underwriting Manager.
An accomplished underwriter with over 10 years’ insurance experience across both the UK and Australia, Whitlock joins Arch from Chubb where he was most recently the Casualty Segment Leader, Major Accounts Division in Australia. He has also previously held broking roles at Brown & Brown in London.
Commenting on the appointment, Armstrong said: “Andrew is an excellent addition to our team, bringing a breadth of technical expertise, underwriting, and leadership experience. His strong reputation and ability to build lasting broker relationships will be key as we continue to grow our relevance across the northern region.”
